QBCC reporting
QBCC annual reporting shows the QBCC each year that your licensed business meets its minimum financial requirements.
It is for contractor licensees in categories 1 to 7, and for SC1 and SC2 company licensees.
Who must report
- Licensees in financial categories 1 to 7.
- Company licensees in categories SC1 and SC2.
- Individual licensees in SC1 and SC2 no longer lodge annual reporting. The requirement was removed in March 2025. They still have to meet their other minimum financial requirements.
When it is due
| Date | What is due |
|---|---|
| 31 December 2026 | QBCC annual reporting, categories 1 to 7 |
| 31 March 2027 | QBCC annual reporting, SC1 and SC2 companies |
Lodging through a registered tax agent can give you later dates. Weekend and public holiday due dates move to the next business day.

What we do
- Prepare your annual reporting information from your tax and financial year figures.
- Prepare an MFR report or declaration when the QBCC asks for one.
- Check that your maximum revenue category still fits the work you plan to take on.
- Keep the due date in your reporting calendar, so it is never the problem.
